These Crispy Air Fryer Okra are my go-to snack. They’re tasty, crunchy, flavorful and totally delicious. This gluten-free, low-carb snack that can be made in minutes!
Air Fryer Okra
This air fryer okra recipe is super simple and only requires three ingredients. You can choose to leave it at that for an easy, salty snack, or you can spice it up with the seasonings of your choice. It’s all up to you! Add a little kick of heat or some fresh herbs, or sprinkle your favorite spice mix on them.
This year I planted a few okra plants, I planned to pick them in their early stages to use in Lebanese Okra Stew. But I waited too long and they grew larger than expected. I discovered a good way to air fry okra, and the whole family instantly fell in love with it!

Like many of my air fryer recipes, this one requires very minimal ingredients to achieve a delicious, crunchy result. You’ll need 3 simple ingredients to make fried okra in air fryer.
- Fresh okra, ends trimmed and pods sliced
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt & Pepper

How To Make Crispy Okra in Air Fryer:
It’s so simple to make crispy okra. These only require a couple of steps and are ready in as little as 15 minutes.
- Wash and pat dry the okra with a paper towel.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400 °F.
- Cut off the stem ends and cut the okra into ¾ inch pieces.
- In a medium sized bowl, combine sliced okra, olive oil, salt, and black pepper and mix gently.
- Add okra to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 15 minutes, shaking every 5 minutes to make sure they cook evenly.
- Remove okra from basket, and serve immediately.
- Serve & enjoy!
STORAGE AND REHEATING
You can STORE these Air Fryer okra in an airtight container in your fridge for 3-5 days.
To REHEAT air fried okra, place in the air fryer basket at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes, or until everything has warmed through. You can also warm this up in the microwave for 30-45 seconds.
Air Fryer Okra is a prefect recipe for those who love the flavor of okra but dislike the texture. These air fried okra comes out light, crispy and delicious. Ingredients

- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
