Welcome! I’m Rose, a thirty something wife and mom to 3 amazing kids (two boys and a girl), as well as the self-taught cook, baker, recipe developer, editor and photographer behind this little web space that I call thesaltandsweet.com.

I grew up in a small town in Lebanon and so English is not my first language (so please forgive any grammatical errors!). I then moved to the United States where I spent 11 years before recently moving to the UAE with my family and we couldn’t be happier!

In The Salt And Sweet Kitchen you’ll find tried-and-true recipes for all my favorite dishes. While most of my recipes are inspired by the Lebanese dishes I grew up eating and now proudly serving at home to family and friends, you’ll also find some recipes from different cultures here and there. I’m basically going to share everything that gets cooked in my kitchen that is not only delicious, but also quick and easy to make too!

Cooking and baking are a huge passion of mine! I could literally live in my kitchen. I like to also make food look pretty, because when it looks good, doesn’t it just taste so much better?

My mission here is to spread my love of cooking by sharing delicious recipes that take the stress out of cooking, transforming it from a potentially daunting task to something fun and straight-forward.

How it Started…

The Salt and Sweet Kitchen began back in 2017 as a hobby and because I wanted to share the dishes I grew up eating and recreating for family and friends. Since then, I’ve come a long way and in the last year alone, The Salt and Sweet Kitchen has received over 700k pageviews and continues to grow exponentially. This is all thanks to you, my loyal and new readers!
